| Intern Position: Content Assistant

Reports to: Content supervisor
Supervises: No direct supervision
Primary responsibility:
· Collecting content from approved sources and loading
it into the FaithandValues.com content management
system
Duties:
· Visit partner web sites as scheduled
· Select content in accordance with established guidelines,
including adherence to FaithandValues.com’s
Standards and Practices
· Refer questionable content to the Content Supervisor
· Write content abstracts
· Load content into database, applying keywords within
a supplied taxonomy
· Load or create video content records as assigned
· Other duties as assigned
Skills and experience:
· Clear written and spoken English
· Excellent comprehension; ability to clearly summarize
a content element in a few words
· Competence using Microsoft Office applications, specifically
Word, Excel and Outlook
· Competence with Internet communications including email
and ftp applications
Additionally, all of the following are assets
· Post-secondary studies in English, Journalism or a related
discipline
· Experience in an office environment
· Awareness of North American faith traditions
· Familiarity with data entry systems
· Comprehension of written Spanish
Personal attributes required
· Sensitivity to matters of faith and religion;
· Attention to detail
· Punctuality and reliability
This job is part-time and located in Lexington. The hourly range
is $8.50-$10, depending on experience. No benefits are payable.
